WeCare can provide a variety of services in the comfort of your home. Ranging from companionship (mental stimulation), assistance with activities of daily living (feeding, bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring/ambulation), meal prep, light housekeeping, and transportation. In addition, we have professionals on the registry who provide skilled visits such as medication management/administration and wound care.
Will the caregiver(s) have the skills for my specific health needs?
All caregivers on the WeCare registry have either certification or licensure from the Maryland Board Nursing and have a variety of experience and skills needed to fulfill your specific health care needs.
Do you only provide service to seniors?
No, WeCare is licensed to provide care to adults aged 18 and up.
What happens if my caregiver is unavailable?
You don’t need to worry. Due to the size of our registry, we can typically find another caregiver, even on short notice.
What happens if I don’t need service for a specific period?
We understand the importance of being flexible when providing service. Whether you’re on vacation or just don’t need care for any reason, all you have to do is notify us.

How do I arrange for service?
Contact the WeCare office by either phone or our website 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Is your agency licensed? By whom?
Yes, WeCare is licensed by the Maryland Department of Health, Office of Healthcare Quality as a Residential Service Agency and Nursing Referral Service Agency.
How can I determine what kind of help I need?
WeCare has Registered Nurses available to you to answer any questions you may have concerning you or your loved one.
Where does your agency provide care?
WeCare can provide care service no matter where you live – whether it’s in the privacy of your own home, or assisted living facility, senior community or hospital.
Are prospective Caregiver interviews permitted for the client?
Yes. We encourage clients, family members and trusted advisors to interview prospective Caregivers. WeCare will assist in coordinating the interviews.
Do Caregivers have their own transportation?
Prior to joining the Registry, Caregivers are required to show proof of a current, valid Maryland driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Does WeCare accept insurance?
WeCare accepts private pay for services and may be able to assist with Long-Term Care Insurance reimbursement. As coverage usually includes skilled nursing along with personal care, the amount of Long Term Care Reimbursement varies based on the client’s policy.
