Since
1995, our clients have had the assurance that the Caregivers on our Registry
acknowledge and promote our mission by remaining true to the uncompromising
standards of excellence set forth by our founder, Geraldine Diggs. These
standards, along with her caring touch, have become the hallmark of WeCare’s
service.
The WeCare registry
consists of highly skilled and experienced Caregivers. These
include Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs),
Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and Geriatric Nursing Assistants
(GNAs).
WeCare Screening
At WeCare we
understand that the client/Caregiver relationship must be one of respect,
compassion and confidentiality. Each Caregiver completes an extensive screening
process with our Registered Nurses and internal staff.
They must also pass a:
- Skills Competency Test
- Driving
Record Check
- Drug Screening
- Physical
Examination
- Criminal Background Check
As part of our rigorous ongoing professional development program, we sponsor
quarterly In-Service training provided by local and national experts in clinical
care and client relations. Presenters include specialists from the American
Diabetes Association, the Alzheimer’s Association, Gilchrist
Hospice Care, area Hospitals and the Maryland
Board of Nursing.
