Community Participation - Baby Boomer Expo/Senior Expo-Baltimore County Office on Aging

Baby Boomer Expo/Senior Expo 2009 will be held on
- Wednesday, October 7, 2009: 9 am - 6 pm
- Thursday, October 8, 2009: 9 am - 4 pm
- Exhibition Hall, 4-H Building and Vista Room at Timonium Fairgrounds
The theme for this year is "Get the Red Carpet Treatment." Guests will be treated to great live entertainment, prizes, information and more.

Community Participation - American Diabetes Association

WeCare participates annually in the StepOut™ Walk to Fight Diabetes at Rash Field in Baltimore. Ms. Diggs leads a group consisting of more than 30 WeCare staff members, registry Caregivers, friends and family members in this fun event. To date Team WeCare has raised over $15,000 to support diabetes research.
Each year that WeCare has participated in the StepOut™ Walk to Fight Diabetes, we have been one of the top ten fundraisers.

Community Participation - My Sister's Place
|
My Sister’s Place is a United Way of Central Maryland and Catholic Charities Agency. It is a day program for homeless women and their children that provides shower and laundry facilities, case management, life skills workshops, and three meals each day.

Community Participation - Our Daily Bread
|
Our Daily Bread is Maryland’s hot meal program, which serves more than a quarter million meals to the hungry of Baltimore City each year.
From June 6-June 19, 2009, the WeCare Staff and Registry Caregivers collected over 100 pounds of nonperishable food for use at Our Daily Bread.

Anna's House offers transitional and permanent housing for homeless women and their children in Harford County.
